![]() Paintball started in the Philippines during the late 80’s. Pinoys have always excelled in the sport but their skill goes unnoticed due to lack of sustaining support. Our local teams and players find themselves having to leave the country in order to participate in international tournaments in which they have earned various recognitions and taken the top spots. Do we really need to leave the country to prove our worth? Are there other venues for our local teams to be exposed to international tournament standards in order to hone their abilities? Aren’t we capable of hosting international sporting events? We believe it’s about time to step forward and show them we can do it right here on our shores. The first international tournament that targeted the Asian Region was initiated by the Philippines in 2004, and this opened the doors for Malaysia and Guam to host their own international events. Now we have a Paintball Asia League Series that is pushing for the Philippines to host one of the legs. We know we have the capability to do it again and all we need is to mobilize the community, possible sponsors and hand in hand with national and local government support we can once again show our neighbors and the worldwide paintball community “Ang Galing ng Pinoy!” This is our chance. Now we take on the challenge...
